 The Northern Rivers Symphony Orchestra (NRSO) is a non-profit organisation offering a wide variety of high quality, affordable musical productions to local communities. Originally an eighteen-member chamber ensemble founded by Barry Singh in 1993 in Murwillumbah, the Orchestra now draws as many as 60 players from as far afield as Lismore, Brisbane and Toowoomba.

Speed on Tweed Held in Murwillumbah each year since 2002, "Speed on Tweed" features street circuit speed trials, and attracts more than 150 racing, sports and touring car enthusiasts for a weekend of social events and competition.  Parades, street parties, photo opps and  autograph signings with Australian car racing legends like Sir Jack Brabham and Dick Johnson are part of the programme.

Lismore Symphony Orchestra.  Formed in the latter half of 2003, the Orchestra is relatively small, with 40 players.  Totally self funded, it receives its money from ticket sales, members fees and donations, it is committed to providing affordable, top quality performances to a wide audience.
